THE RULES
On Sunday, 25 July 2010, Sherlock aired on BBC 1 in the UK at 9 p.m., and attracted 7 million viewers. The three-part show, produced by Steven Moffat, Head Writer of popular British show Doctor Who, and Mark Gatiss, his fellow Doctor Who writer as well as actor, starred Benedict Cumberbatch as the infamous title character Sherlock Holmes, Martin Freeman as war veteran Dr John Watson, and Rupert Graves as DI Lestrade, with Gatiss himself making an appearance as Sherlock’s brother, Mycroft.
After watching the first episode, a very excited
vivitchi posted in her journal about her adoration of the show and its actors and creators, and invited her flist to join her in the epic journey of creating a community for fellow Sherlock lovers. Very soon, she was joined by fellow lovers of the Merlin fandom: frotcake, wldcatsprstr_14, nahara and sheswatching. In a matter of a week, based on Merlin fandom's 
summerpornathon, the community thegameison_sh was made!team_sherlock
